Abalone shell with Silver Scale band Headdress

This handcrafted mermaid headdress features a real abalone shell centerpiece paired with layered greenery, shell accents, pearl embellishments, and a silver silicone scale band that was hand-cast for a textured scale appearance. The headdress is designed to wrap from behind one ear across the head to the other side, creating a more dramatic asymmetrical reef-inspired look.

Designed for both performance and practicality, this piece was created to be wearable both in and out of the water.

To help keep the headdress secure while swimming, this design includes three attachment methods:
• Alligator clips on each side
• A comb at the top for additional hold
• An adjustable strap that secures around the back of the neck for extra stability while underwater or swimming

The silicone scale detailing gives the piece flexibility while still maintaining structure and texture, helping the headdress stay lightweight and comfortable to wear.
